Meet Lequyen Nguyen, the girl who brought HERC’s Nutrition to western Canada.

Born and raised in Red Deer, Alberta, Lequyen is the epitome of small-town hospitality. Her HERC’s journey hasn’t been a long one, but it’s certainly made an impact – both on its customers and on our HERC’s family.

Young, bright, and business savvy, Lequyen decided to jump off the corporate ladder – much to her mother’s dismay – and into a career based on community and healthy living. Fresh out of her 9-5 job in the provincial bioindustry, Lequyen landed in a world completely foreign to her: fitness and supplements. While she’s never been an avid gym-goer or health nut, this is exactly where she found her passion.

Working part-time at a few vitamin and supplement stores around Red Deer, Lequyen quickly realized that she had a strong passion for meeting new people, hearing about their lives, and helping them through their various journeys. She remembered their names, their stories, and their personal preferences. And eventually, she became a part of these people’s success stories. This, coupled with her long line of entrepreneurial family members, pushed her to make the leap and join our ever-growing HERC’s family.

“What stood out with HERC’s was definitely the shake bar. I could see that the shakes brought in the customers, but the service won their loyalty.”

Since 2017, Lequyen’s store has definitely amassed its fair number of loyal customers. Over the last few years, she’s managed to create her own community of knowledgeable staff, devoted customers, and a small family out of our newest HERC’s owners out west. Lequyen’s ability to bring people together and offer a helping hand has been instrumental in our successful store launches across western Canada.
